Question
How do I reserve an IP address to a client in my SBX-AC1200P?
Answer
NOTE: The SBX-AC1200P operates as a wireless extender out of the box.  The IP Address Reserve is setup in the primary router that manages the home network.  If the SBX-AC1200P is operating as a wireless router, proceed with the instructions below to setup a Reserve IP Address.

In certain cases, it is best for a client to receive a particular IP address from the SBX-AC1200P and always keep that address without having to manually configure it in the client.  This can be accomplished by reserving an IP Address to a client's MAC address.   When the client disconnect and reconnect to the SBX-AC1200P, it will receive the IP address that it has been reserved for it.

It is recommended to setup an IP Address Reserve for clients that are configured to use Port Forwarding or DMZ.  This document describes how to reserve an IP address to a client connected to the SBX-AC1200P.
