Question
How do I reset my SBX-1000P to factory default? 
Answer
In some cases, the SBX-1000P may need to be reset to its factory default state and clear all of the previous settings.  The Factory reset can be performed by pressing the reset button or in the Web Manager.  This document describes how to reset to factory defaults by pressing the reset button or in the Web Manager.

CAUTION: Performing a Factory Reset will erase any configuration and pairing changes. 

 
Factory Reset With The Reset Button
  1. Carefully insert the tip of a pen or an unwound paperclip into the reset button on the bottom of the device.
  2. Press and hold down the Reset button for 10 seconds and then release it.

    NOTE: To assure that the extender factory defaults, hold the reset button for a minimum of 10 seconds.  The side LED will flash amber and then red to indicate a reset has been performed.

Factory Reset in the Web Manager
  1. Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.  Enter http://192.168.100.254 into the address box, and press the Enter key.  The Login page appears.

    NOTE 1: By default the LAN IP address is 192.168.100.254.  If the default address has been changed, enter the custom address in the address box.

  2. On the Login page, enter password in the Password field. 
  3. Click the Apply button.  The Status - Device page appears.

  4. Move the mouse-cursor over Advance on the top menu, and click the Configuration link from drop-down submenu. 
  5. On the Advance - Configuration page, Restore Factory Defaults - Type the password, to factory default the extender.

    NOTE: If the default password has been changed, enter the custom password in the Factory Reset to Default section.

  6. Click the Apply button.  The Message from webpage box appears.
  7. After waiting a few moments, it should refresh back to the Login page.
