The serial number can be located on the bottom panel of the unit and in the GUI (Graphical User Interface) of the CM820.  This document includes the following sections:

The serial number is located on the bottom white sticker of the device as S/N.Â

Launch a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari. Enter http://192.168.100.1 into the address box, and press the Enter key. The Status page appears.

Click the HW/FW Versions link on the top menu. The HW/FW Versions page appears. The serial number will be displayed (as shown below).
