TEC101: Video Applications and Networking

Network, Service, and Workforce Assurance

The presentation is intended as a foundational course for individuals who will work with this technology and need to be aware of how it fits together.  There is no product specific hardware, configuration, or troubleshooting content by design.  The intent is for that to come later.  This course does not preempt or make obsolete any existing course.  Essentially the discussion ends here at the point the same topic begins in the existing operation, configuration and troubleshooting courses.  The goal is for the student to be better prepared to focus on the advanced topics later with a solid understanding obtained here.

This course, using an instructor led format, will present a big picture view of video networking.  With an interactive presentation in a relatively small class size, we will look at the key components of video networking, how they interact to produce and distribute a video stream and the resulting network architecture.
