Demonstrate your DOCSIS expertise with the DOCSIS Principles Certification. This rigorous two-hour online proctored exam allows learners to assess their knowledge of DOCSIS releases 3.0 and 3.1. Other topics covered in this exam include: DOCSIS release specifics, PHY Layer—downstream channel, upstream channel, RF impairments, MAC layer, DOCSIS MAC management messages, cable modem registration, downstream/upstream channel bonding, load balancing, and service flows.
The DOCSIS Principles Certification includes content covered in the following ARRIS training courses. Participants are highly encouraged but not required to complete these courses before enrolling in the certification exam.

- TEC301: DOCSIS Essentials
- TEC302: Understanding DOCSIS 3.1
Participants must arrange a testing time with the ProctorU proctoring service, as described in the email message received after registering for the DOCSIS Principles Certification. The exam will be accessible after scheduling a time for proctoring with ProctorU.
Please note that there is a $25 test taking fee charged by ProctorU.
